Good evening gym bros, as you can tell, today I’m going to talk about our favorite creatine. Why I was afraid of it, how I used it, and how it finally helped me achieve the results I have now and see the difference I wanted. But before we get into all that, let’s take a look at what creatine is.
What is Creatine?
First of all, creatine is a naturally occurring compound found in small amounts in foods like red meat and fish. Your body also produces it, storing most of it in your muscles. When you supplement with it, you increase those stores, helping your muscles produce more energy during high-intensity workouts.
Think of it as fuel for your explosive movements. Whether you’re lifting heavy, sprinting, or crushing intense training sessions, it powers your muscles to perform at their best.
Why I was afraid of it?
Since we learned what creatine is, let’s continue. At first, I had in my mind that it was some kind of anabolic. Yes, you heard right, anabolic. I would tell all my friends that I would never take creatine and that you guys who take it are fake. Of course, I was wrong about that.
I thought I’d have kidney problems and lose my hair (I had already lost most of it before I even started taking it). After watching several videos on TikTok and YouTube, I realized it’s the safest supplement. So, I started my cycle too!
How Ι Take ?
Many people say to take 10g a day for a week to do a “loading phase.” My personal opinion is that I don’t think something like that is necessary. I started slowly taking 3g daily for quite some time. Then, I stopped for two weeks because I had heard it’s not good to take it continuously. But I don’t think that’s true. Anyway, with 3g, I started seeing results after a month. My body got stronger, I was getting through workouts more easily, and my physique began to change.
After a year, though, I noticed I wasn’t progressing. So, I increased the dose to 5g daily, saw immediate results, and haven’t stopped since. I usually add it to my protein shaker after every workout, and sometimes I take it before bed, just with water. How many grams do you take, and has it helped you?
